Job Description
Office Assistant
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Office Assistant will perform a wide range of office support and coordination activities to assist the Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA) staff. The Office Assistant will also engage with and provide support to WASA members. Most of this assignment will be working remotely, with occasional in-person/onsite worktime responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides assistance and support for professional learning and member services.
- Provide assistance and support to WASA Partner organizations.
- Assists in preparation for conferences, meetings and events, including making copies, collating event materials, assembling packets, ordering supplies, and preparing name badges and name tents.
- Answers and directs phone calls.
- Provides General Clerical Support. Prepares outgoing mail, runs errands, prepares copies, scans documents, sends faxes, and files electronic and hard copy documents.
- Provides assistance to WASA Executive staff.
- Provides assistance to WASA members and those acting on their behalf.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Assists other staff to support them in the completion of their work activities.
- Assists with association functions and events as assigned.
- Assists WASA consultants with copying and activity coordination.
- Assists with copying, packet preparation, and ordering supplies.
- Assists with special projects.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.

FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA) STATUS: Non-exempt
