Job Description
Position: Automotive Engineer/Embedded Software Engineer
Work Location: United States
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
- Write code in Embedded C and perform debugging on microcontrollers.
- Enhance and modify existing firmware based on customer requirements
- Work with the systems team to write, capture, define, and modify requirements
- Perform firmware development using Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
- Conduct research on firmware and hardware combinations for new designs or to improve existing designs.
- Work with the verification team to create test plans and conduct testing, documenting results
- Perform code design review with peers to ensure best practices
Required Skills
- 1+ years of experience in Embedded C, Firmware, Embedded Software, Software Development, C/C++.
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related Engineering field.
- Experience with CAN bus serial protocol such as CANopen and/or J1939.
- 1+ years using Embedded C.
- Experience with microcontrollers and microcontroller-based design
