Job Description
ACD is a leading facilities-based provider of Internet and Voice Services. We directly sell and support our growing Fiber Network providing Internet and Voice Services to area Homes and Businesses.
Start a career in technology of the future! We are looking for motivated people to learn and advance starting in our support department. Grow into our Infrastructure areas including Networking, Outside Plant, Field Tech, Programming, Sales.
Responsibilities include:
- Answer customers calls and emails on service issues via a trouble ticketing system.
- Resolve customer trouble tickets within defined timeframe.
- Notates, updates internal teams and customer of trouble status.
- Monitor network and responds accordingly to alerts/outages.
- Provide support for network engineering group during outages and maintenance activities.
- Escalates issues with other teams or carriers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Networking.
- Basic understanding of IP addressing/subnetting.
- Ability to prioritize work based on department and production objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work and make decisions independently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Must have great customer service skills.
- Must be self-starter, self-motivated, detail oriented and organized.
- Must be able to work well with other groups.
- Strong analytical, technical and logical thinking skills.
- Ability to work on multiple devices and systems at the same time.
- Must be able to work in different shift work.
Prospective employees for this position must meet "medium" strength level standards per U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Federal Standards, which requires an employee to be able to carry up to 50 pounds.
Prospective employees for this position are required to handle ladders and operate other equipment. Employees who have a body weight of over 250 pounds are not eligible for employment in this position at ACD. Buckets and ladders are rated for 300 pounds, which includes up to 250 pounds for the person and up to 50 pounds for tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- A+, Network +, or other IT industry standard certifications
- Data network troubleshooting.
- Telecom experience is a plus.
