Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
The IT Support Technician provides hardware and software support for Ethos employees and office environments. This entry-level position serves as the first point of contact to troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues, set up workstations, and assist users in the use of hardware and software applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain ticketing system to track support requests
Office 365
Create/maintain users and licenses
Define groups and distribution lists, maintain membership
OneDrive configuration
Security, compliance, data loss prevention
Manage cloud-based remote access, anti-virus/intrusion prevention
Asset Management
Purchase hardware/software
Asset tracking
Hardware upgrade plan
Assignment, in-office physical setup
Device Provisioning
Establish accounts for mobile devices
Configure laptops using disk imaging or predefined instructions
Maintain images/processes with proper updates
Authorize updates on managed devices
Tech Support
Hardware/software troubleshooting and reconfiguration
User training
Knowledgebase
Mobile Device Management
Define minimum secure device criteria, review periodically
Maintain/renew mobile security certificates
Push BYOD plan, require all external mobile devices to comply with policies
Maintain, remote wipe as needed
VOIP Management
Account management
Troubleshooting/custom requests
User Onboarding/Offboarding
Office network management
Troubleshoot network/VOIP issues
Maintain backups of device configs
Monitor internal device logs, test network for vulnerabilities
Wifi security
Firmware updates

Evestigate support calls
EDUCATION
Associate's degree in technical field or relevant work experience
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Windows 10 and Office 365 support and configuration
Security-conscious mindset
Strong trouble-shooting skills
Must be highly self-motivated and have a great attention to detail with a positive attitude
Ability to effectively manage multiple varying projects under tight deadlines and quick project turnover with minimal supervision
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to research technologies and processes and self-educate at a reasonable pace
LICENCES/CERTIFICATIONS/INSURANCE
Microsoft or security certifications preferred
