We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer, Radar Analyst – AAS Pre-Planned Product Improvement (P3I) to join our Radar Sensor Systems (RSS) Engineering Team, which is part of Raytheon’s Naval Power group.
Radar Sensor Systems (RSS) is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer, Radar Analyst, to provide support analysis of data from lab and flight tests, and mentor engineering talent to support AAS P3I Programs. As the Principal Systems Engineer, Radar Analyst you will work with the AAS P3I Program team to develop system test plans, analyze lab, and flight data and support system performance verification efforts and work with Raytheon, customer, and industry partner teams to ensure new capabilities and system mode improvements are fielded on time.
Clearance Requirement: Must have an active and in scope - Top Secret Security Clearance, US Citizenship required.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 8+ years of real-time Signal and Image Processing data analysis experience.
AAS experience including system performance processing, system level testing and verification.
Understanding of AAS System radar mode algorithms to train and develop Engineering talent.
AAS flight data analysis, conversion, and documentation.
Knowledge of AAS algorithm streams.
Communicate (written/verbal) technical concepts.
Prepare and deliver high-level briefing to Program Management, Engineering Technical Managers and Customers.
Champion partnerships with diverse external/ internal stakeholders that translate mission needs into solutions.
Manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
Prioritize tasks based on the deadline, the importance to the organization’s goals, and the amount of time and effort required to complete the project.
Experience using Microsoft Office products.
Mentor and provide career development direction to junior engineers.
Active and in scope Top-Secret Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
Desired Qualifications:
Current or prior AAS Program access
Knowledge of AAS system mode displays and A-TOMS capabilities.
Experience writing proposals for New Business Initiatives
Prepare project budgets, determining project specifications, and create plans using detailed drawings and diagrams.
Required Education:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related STEM discipline such as Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
