Job Overview:
This seasoned individual has expert knowledge of principles and practices within operations and an understanding of business strategies and culture and works to achieve results and drive the performance of regional teams.
The CO2 Process Manager will identify, risk assess, and mitigate Process Safety hazards and exposures related to the design, engineering, and operation of the Production and Distribution of CO2 in Linde Gas Western Region. Furthermore, the incumbent will define, prioritize and lead continuous technical process improvements in the CO2 Production area by relying on Linde's subject matter experts and the local organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead the local-focused process safety audit process
- Liaise with regional area managers and the central support team to prioritize safety works and investments based on the highest risk potential.
- Track and report audit corrective actions status and lead their prompt execution
- Assess levels of competency and training for local operations & plant managers.
- Ensure records are maintained for Process Safety performance indicators and deliverables.
- Lead or facilitate structured risk assessments.
- Own the Engineering Management of Change process in CO2 Operations to ensure that all engineering for new projects and modifications to existing assets complies with internal regulatory codes, standards, and engineering/operations best practices.
- Promote awareness of updates to Operational Procedures and critical safety standards.
- Lead major process safety investigations. Ensure root cause is determined and best practice implemented to mitigate the risks to the business. Coordinate with regional and central Safety teams as required
- Developing Best Operating Practices (BOP) for CO2 Production & Distribution
- Develop and maintain the CO2 Operator training program in line with global guidelines.
- Represent LGUS West as a Subject Matter Expert in CO2 topics.
- Provide Strategic leadership and direction to all LGUS West CO2 operations to ensure plant availability and reliable customer supply.
- Investigate & Identify Best Practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Define, prioritize, and lead continuous technical process improvements in the CO2 Production area.
- Lead further development projects, from business case preparation and evaluation to project execution.
- Prepare executive reports on CO2 performance.
Qualifications:
- Engineering (preferable Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial)
- Experience in gas or petrochemical industry
- Project Management Certification (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt, Agile, others)

Pay Range $120,000-$140,000 per year.
