Alaska Overview
ConocoPhillips is Alaska’s largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1.2 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2022. The company produced an average of 200 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2022. ConocoPhillips has major ownership interests in two of North America’s largest legacy conventional oil fields, both located on Alaska’s North Slope: Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips operates several fields on the Western North Slope. The company has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and owns/operates the Polar Tankers fleet.
Description
If you are selected as the Information Management Lead, you will own the document control and engineering data management processes in the context of maximizing the efficiency of the project life cycle and handover to Operations. You will lead employee and contingent worker teams to organize, manage, and utilize all data and information management systems across the project organization to maximize work process automation where practical and/or cost effective to do so.
Your responsibilities may include:
Champion database integration and work process automation across the capital projects organization, seeking opportunities to improve systems and processes
Monitor, plan, prioritize & troubleshoot delivery of documents and data handover to Operations, including the overarching project close-out process
Own CPMS AK document control and engineering data management processes and IM contract exhibits for 3rd party contracts
Interface with Operations to define Documentation for Operations (DFO), ensuring CPMS AK compliance with BU requirements
Develop, maintain and improve all data visualization and data analytics tools, e.g. Capital Projects progress dashboard
Act as primary focal point with IT to provide support to all company systems and tools, e.g. PCS, EDMS, engineering systems, Nxtgen systems, Power BI, etc
Facilitate and/or provide training to project organization in the use of all IM tools
Partner with 3rd party contractor IM organizations to ensure work processes are effective and integrate with COP systems consistent with contract exhibits
Key interface with BU data analytics team, identifying and championing opportunities to digitalize and modernize
Minimize permanent administrative resources in the field (both COP and 3rd party contractors) through leveraging remote capability and technology
Participates in the corporate IM networks to share and learn best practice
Participate on the Incident Management Team as required and attend IMT Trainings and annual exercises
Qualifications
Basic/Required:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee
5+ years of experience supporting oil and gas facilities
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a Technical or IT Discipline or foreign equivalent
