Job Description
Richmont is hiring a Facilities Manager for the Chattanooga and Atlanta campuses. This position is based in Chattanooga and will travel to Atlanta once per week. This position is Monday - Thursday 6 hours per day.
Strategy & Planning
Preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for security of the Richmont Buildings.
Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, and installation within the building.
Develop long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future building’s needs.
Support development and implementation of upcoming building projects and maintenance.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building’s contracts and supervise contract-based installations.
Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan executables, and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Acquisition & Deployment
Uphold maintenance/general use of the building which includes – HVAC, security system, Alarm codes, key access, painting, proper layout.
Conduct research on the most cost-effective ways to fix, maintain, and upkeep the building.
Manage, maintain, and pursue bids on projects for Richmont’s facilities.
Recommend, schedule, and perform normal building maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
Create surveys to properly assess Facilities needs/suggestions of students, professors, staff, and classroom.
Operational Management
Uphold cleanliness of the building – cleaning carpets, walls, trash/recycling pickup, refilling soap/paper towels, and building exterior.
Responsible for all maintenance and general upkeep of the building, HVAC, security, plumbing, electrical, and trying to keep facility costs to a minimum.
Manages and supervises maintenance on buildings, HVAC, plumbing systems, electrical systems, lighting, lawn care, and alarm systems.
Help manage equipment maintenance requests.
Comprehensive knowledge of equipment and facility maintenance programs and procedures.
Ability to create instructional documents to teach others to utilize equipment within the building.
Ability to identify and recognize unsafe conditions or work practices.
Ability to exercise judgments and make decisions.
Ability to plan, organize, and delegate work to achieve desired results.
Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret install/usage manuals.
Ability to write reports and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Keep buildings in compliance with current governmental regulations.
Manages all outsourced contractors that work on the facilities and electronic systems.
Maintains HVAC units and contracts with those units.
Maintains security measures present at Richmont.
Responsible for any major/minor projects for the University and overseeing the completion of these projects is done suitably.
Keep the buildings within THEC and other government compliance standards.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification
General knowledge of construction, electrical, plumbing, tools etc.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40,000.00 per year
