Job Description
General Functions: The payroll/data entry specialist is accountable to the CFO and is responsible for maintaining excellence, efficiency and accuracy in handling payroll processing and data entry.
Qualifications: This person must:
- Actively communicate a positive attitude.
- Be proficient with computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel programs.
- Be enthusiastic, friendly, reliable, and able to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis.
- Be able to maintain confidential information.
- Be able to sit, stand, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be CPR and First Aid certified prior to or within 60 days of employment.
- This position requires that the candidate undergo a background and drug screening check. Candidate must meet high integrity standards as well as have excellent organizational skills, communication skills and time management skills. Comfortable learning new software systems and technology applications (ISolved and Raiser’s Edge) as well as experience with Microsoft programs. Must have a strong understanding of the process associated with maintaining and managing a donor database with at least two years of post-high school education or at least two years of related work experience. Candidate should be detail-oriented, have successful history of maintaining confidentiality, meeting deadlines and demonstrating high standards of accuracy.

Performance Objectives
To maintain a standard of excellence in payroll and data entry as directed by the CFO in accordance with YMCA goals and policies.
The YMCA promotes a culture of honesty, respect, responsibility to our community as well as caring for others. The payroll/data entry specialist takes pride in being a part of our non-profit team, ensuring that all staff get paid on time every two weeks utilizing payroll software and assists with development data entry, such as donation management and generating thank you letters. This position does allow for some remote work as well as the availability of hourly flexibility between 30 – 40 hours per week. Pay: From $18 per hour.
