Job Description
Overview:
The objective of Crew Scheduling is to plan, communicate, and deliver crew members to the operation effectively and efficiently for maximum utility opportunity, while maintaining the flight management system with up-to-date information and continuously striving to improve pilot quality of life.
The Manager of Crew Scheduling is responsible for leading and coaching the Wheels Up crew schedulers, along with developing, implementing, and maintaining accountability of department processes and procedures. This position is full time, in person, at our Member Operations Center in Chamblee, GA.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Close integration with Global Scheduling and Crew Planning leaders to ensure department processes and procedures are aligned with broader company objectives and strategy
Assure high quality collaboration with aircraft scheduling, recovery teams, and all operations groups for day of and next day changes affecting crew movement while prioritizing member experience
Integration with aircraft scheduling, maintenance, and training groups to ensure the representation of supply, aircraft and crew, is true and maintained vigorously
Delivery of green and crewed aircraft, low risk and cost adjusted, ensuring highest utility opportunity to achieve profitability goals
Ensure department processes and procedures support high utilization model while maintaining company vision, mission, values, culture, and delivering to our internal and external service level agreements
Recruit, hire, and train crew schedulers to maintain proper staffing levels of high-performance crew schedulers
Ongoing coaching and mentoring to ensure high quality of life, work experience, and peak performance as department processes and procedures evolve
Build department schedules, manage PTO, and overall department staffing coverage
Qualifications:
3-5yrs of aircraft and/or crew scheduling experience in a fast-paced dynamic aviation operation
3-5 years extensive use of a Flight Management System software
2-3 years of leadership and workforce management experience preferred
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Proven success in quick decision making while taking multi-dimensional variables into consideration and executing with precision
Highly efficient and effective use of computer skills including email, FMS, Zoom, Slack, etc.
Must be able to constantly reprioritize and execute/resolve multiple tasks at once
Candidates must have a passion for problem solving, with a willingness to accept changes and start from scratch on a routine basis
