Job Description
Urology Specialist of the Carolinas is now hiring a full time Certified Medical Assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals at our Pineville location.
Urology Specialists of the Carolinas is a well-established independent urology group with eight offices located throughout the Charlotte region. We have thirty five providers and a large support staff. Our Urologists are educated and trained at some of the country’s best medical schools and teaching hospitals. We provide the highest quality care and cover the spectrum of diseases encountered by adults.
RMA/CMA Job Summary:
The RMA/CMA will perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a Physician, Advance Clinical Provider and Office Coordinator.
Primary Job Responsibilities, but not limited to:
· Scheduling appts., rooming patients, maintaining medical records, obtaining reports, referrals and completing forms/requisitions as needed.
· Verifying insurance and patient demographics.
· Setting up instruments/equipment per protocol.
· Cleaning exam/procedure rooms to maintain infection controls.
· Minor surgery assists including surgical tray setup, pre/postsurgical care, applying dressing and suture removal.
· Capillary punctures and venipunctures; specimen handling such as urine.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED
· Current documentation of a national certification for the registered medical assistant (RMA) or Certified Assistant (CMA).
· CPR Certification and current health records with the appropriate immunizations to work in healthcare.
· COVID Vaccination.
· Computer competence and knowledge of EMR Systems.
· EPIC experience is preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirement:
· Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling.
· Must be able to lift and support up to 30 lbs.
· Use of computer

Pay: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
