HIRING IMMEDIATELY
Human Resources Representative - $23 per hour
Golden Nugget Las Vegas
SUMMARY:
It is the responsibility of the Human Resources Representative to perform HR-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: HR Administrative, Benefits and Leave Administration, and Employee Engagement and Assistance Programs. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative:
- Greet and assist visitors in a prompt and professional manner; ensure that an approachable and welcoming demeanor is exhibited on a consistent basis.
- Answer telephone, screen and transfer calls accordingly; exhibit exceptional telephone etiquette skills and maintain proper and consistent messaging.
- Efficiently monitor and maintain department record-keeping and filing systems, including highly sensitive and/or critical administrative, employee and financial data.
- Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, statistical data, forms and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
- Proofreading and editing a variety of written materials.
Benefits and Leave Administration:
- Assist the Benefits Manager with the administration of employee benefits in all company operations.
- Assist employees in completion of all benefit enrollment forms for medical, dental, vision and voluntary coverages.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality with all tasks. Ensure that all employee personal health information is properly secured and in compliance with HIPAA at all times.
- Provide employees with FMLA Intermittent Leave forms and information as needed.
- Collect, process and track FMLA Medical Certifications and Rights and Responsibilities documentation in correlation to internal guidelines.
- Scan FMLA Forms, Benefit Forms and returned receipt envelopes into employee files.
- Send benefit packets to employees who move from PT to FT.
- Maintain the Benefits Log showing status changes.
- Enter termination information in HR Connect to generate COBRA notices.
Employee Engagement
- Facilitate New Hire Orientation.
- Implements employee incentive and recognition programs.
- Administers Employee Assistance Program (EAP) by gathering employee’s supporting documents and preparing case to present to EAP Committee.
- Performs other duties and special projects as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and ability to effectively articulate information.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year of Human Resources HR Administration/Benefits experience preferred.
