We are hiring a Medical Receptionist for our new location in Waco, Texas!
JOB SUMMARY:
Schedule/check in/check out patients according to HIPAA guidelines and while following all required processes for documenting, collecting copays, etc. with a very welcoming, concierge greeting.
Reference Check-In Checklist and complete check-in process with minimal to no errors.
Assist with Prior Authorization process for all visit types, services, etc.
Assist with referrals - Make outbound calls to referring provider groups at the direction of the Supervisor to set up provider to provider meetings.
Outbound calls to existing and prospective patients.
Reminder calls to ensure patients come in.
Assist with the referral program- Keep track of it, encourage it to drive new patients.

Miscellaneous: Assist with prior authorizations, monitor WQs and close charts, monitor patient tracking spreadsheet to ensure that all patients stay on track, in free time- follow up with clinic on rescheduling patients.

· Project/Specialized Job Knowledge: Performs duties in a timely manner and identifies and participates in special projects and develops standards and competencies related to implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Medical office experience preferred.
2. Customer service and communication skills required.
3. Data entry and electronic health records experience preferred.
