Job Description
Overview:

This role can be offered fully remote or on a hybrid basis ( onsite/remote) at our Washington, D.C. office.
Position Purpose
The primary focus of this position is to manage advisory assignments in accordance with established firm protocol and lead the development of analytics and resulting synthesis to inform the project team’s advisement to college, university, or municipal clients on the positioning of operations such as campus housing, retail, dining services, facilities, IT systems, transportation & parking, and conference centers among others. The individual will direct the activities of the analysts or other staff resources assigned to the project and ensure deliverables meet the client’s scope requirements in a timely and effective manner
Responsibilities:
Manages a portfolio of advisory assignments. Closely monitors their assignments and ensures successful and timely completion of project management tasks and responsibilities.
Directs and supervises the day-to-day activities of analysts and other staff assigned to their team. Manages analysts’ workloads to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within established work rules.
Serves as the primary interface and campus contact for clients, communicating as needed to ensure appropriate follow through.
Manages the financial and accounting requirements of assignments to include scope pricing, client invoicing and collection activities, and account reconciliation and closing. Ensures that receivables are accurate and current, and accounts are closed in a timely manner.
Develops, or directs the development of, client deliverables to include research, analysis, writing, document review, task management, project presentations & memorandums, and client and key stakeholder communications.
Actively participates in B&D’s business development activities to include assisting with marketing activities, generating new leads, and pursuing additional services opportunities.
Directs quality control and client satisfaction activities specific to his/her assigned projects and communicates pertinent information in a timely manner to owners, project executives, or other project managers and staff.
Assists with the company’s research and development efforts by identifying new analytical tools, strengthening existing models, or discovering improved ways of doing business.
Performs other duties as assigned by project executives or principal.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The associate will supervise and direct a team of analysts and/or staff
Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree and three years’ experience in project management, consulting, planning, business, IT, real estate management or related field is required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be willing and able to travel (independently by car, air, or train) weekly.
Foundational understanding of the firm's project types, project management concepts and methodologies, as well as general industry knowledge.
Capacity to communicate complex concepts simply.
Capable of synthesizing complex information into key takeaways using qualitative and quantitative methods.
Ability to use consistent methodologies to identify problems, develop hypothesis, and identify opportunities to improve operational performance.
Proficiency in analyzing, synthesizing, and communicating data into visual stories.
Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Command of structured problem solving and hypothesis development methodologies
Demonstrated commitment to client satisfaction.
