West Cecil Health Center is looking to add to their Dental Team! WCHC is looking for a friendly, driven, Dental Receptionist who is passionate about their work, wishes to make a difference in their community and is interested in continued development. Bilingual, English-Spanish is a plus.

DENTAL RECEPTIONIST POSITION SUMMARY
The Dental Receptionist greets all visitors and clients, directs to appropriate location, registers patients, collects fees, checks out patients, schedules appointments, processes telephone calls, and provides information in a courteous and helpful manner.

DENTAL RECEPTIONIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Welcome patients, staff and visitors in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner.
Ensure a high level of patient flow by acknowledging scheduled patients, alerting the appropriate staff in a timely manner, and confirming the progression of their visit.
Provides efficient and professional telephone and FAX services, processing messages promptly.
Respect and maintains privacy and patient confidentiality at all times.
Register and schedules patients according to WCHC protocol.
Determines the financial status of patients. Copies and verifies insurance cards and information. Calculate appropriate fees due for services and collects any fees or deductibles needed.
Coordinates payment arrangements with patient with management approval.
Educate patients on WCHC services and assistance programs available
Confirm appointments and actively work to fill schedule openings
Answer phones and direct callers to the appropriate person.
Handle any issues that may arise and provide solutions or refer to the appropriate area.
Complete daily balancing for all monetary transactions
Obtains and updates insurance company fee schedules.
Maintain and reports statistics as required
Maintain office supplies needed for receptionist desk activities
Provide assistance with WCHC official correspondence
Maintain area in neat and orderly condition.
Participate in staff and educational meetings.
DENTAL RECEPTIONIST KEY COMPETENCIES
Ability to organize and prioritize work appropriately.
Excellent guest relations skills.
Ability to proficiently complete tasks in a timely and independent manner.
Experience and demonstrated abilities for working in a multi-cultural setting.
Clerical skills acquired either through experience or through academic training.
Good oral and written communication skills are highly desirable.
Should have a strong commitment to the mission of West Cecil Health Center.
