Summary:
The Warehouse Data Entry Clerk is responsible for all warehouse documentation, i.e. purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, etc. to maintain accuracy of inventory and billing. They must have proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Suite and ability to learn other programs. Due to the nature of the role, applicant must understand they will be working in a warehouse environment.
A Typical Day:
Upload/ Enter Invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
Contact vendors via telephone and/or email to obtain invoices in a timely manner or to report invoice discrepancies.
Restock inventory in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring that all invoices available for restock are finished on a daily basis.
Checking receiving department for orders leftover from previous days to ensure invoices are available.
Filing of inventory invoices and other data entry documents.
Researching of discrepancies / inventory / vendor invoices / product pricing, but is not limited to, as needed or as needed by other departments.
Secondary Responsibilities (duties performed on an as-needed basis):
Pulls and double checks customer orders accurately and in a timely fashion.
Restocks incoming inventory to correct locations in warehouse and maintains overstock areas.
Ensures all customer orders are treated with the highest priority. AMain’s goal is to ship orders out the same day if received before Noon or at least within 24 hours of receipt.
Packing/shipping of customer orders for shipment in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.
Receives incoming inventory, unpacks boxes, and correctly checks/scans against invoices.
Integrates new inventory stock using current organizational procedures.
Recognize, document and alert the Distribution Center Supervisor or Distribution Center Manager of any issues or concerns.
Ability to be flexible for other duties that may not be listed above as required by Distribution Center Supervisor or Distribution Center Manager.
Requirements:
Skills and Education/Experience:
Previous data entry experience desired, but not required.
Professional oral and written communication skills.
Reading skills and arithmetic aptitude.
Computer literate (knowledge of Excel, Word, E-mail, Internet) with the ability to learn new software applications.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, warehouse environment.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
