Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to join our audio-visual production company. As a Warehouse Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, overseeing equipment organization and repairs, and assisting with the loading and unloading of AV equipment.
Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse Operations Management:
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, implementing efficient storage systems and maintaining a clutter-free environment.
- Organize equipment in a manner that maximizes space utilization and allows for easy access and retrieval.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, tracking equipment availability, location, and condition.
- Ensure all equipment is labeled with asset tags for easy identification and tracking.
2. Equipment Repair and Maintenance:
- Inspect equipment regularly for damage or malfunctions, performing basic repairs when possible.
- Coordinate with vendors or manufacturers to schedule repairs or service for equipment that requires professional attention.
- Keep detailed records of equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, and service history.
3. Loading and Unloading:
- Assist with loading AV equipment onto trucks for events or productions, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
- Unload AV equipment from trucks upon their return to the warehouse, verifying and documenting any discrepancies or damages.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to prioritize equipment loading and unloading based on event schedules and deadlines.
4. Asset Management:
- Implement and maintain an effective asset tracking system, ensuring accurate recording of equipment movement, transfers, and returns.
- Conduct regular equipment audits to reconcile inventory records and identify any discrepancies or missing items.
- Collaborate with the operations team to plan and coordinate equipment allocations and transfers between different projects and locations.
5. Team Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, logistics, and technical teams, to ensure smooth workflows and efficient equipment handling.
- Provide support and training to warehouse staff on equipment handling, safety protocols, and warehouse procedures.
- Assist in training and supervising temporary or seasonal warehouse staff during peak periods.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role, preferably in the audio-visual production industry.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse.
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment, including basic repairs and maintenance.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and asset tracking software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and external vendors.
- Proficient in using inventory management tools and software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on production schedules and deadlines.
