Histotechnicians Job Description
We are seeking qualified experienced candidates for the position of Histotechnician in the dermatology field for our office in NE Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will be able to also travel to our other local clinics as needed. The Histotechnician will assist the doctor to welcome the patient and support the doctor in providing excellent care to the patient. The Histotechnician at Dermatology Partners has an instrumental role in providing quality patient care and support in alignment with company core values and culture. They help to create the culture of Dermatology Partners by always being polite, friendly, and helpful to patients and team members. They always present a professional appearance and manner. The Histotechnician reports to the Regional Manager.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Cutting slides
- Assisting in the MOHS lab
- Patient intake
- Entry of data into our Electronica Health Record System
- Preparing and handling medical supplies, instruments and specimens
- Preparing materials for the Doctor
- Keeping the facility and equipment clean and tidy
Preferred experience:
- Dermatology/MOHS
- Histology Technician
Required education:
- High school or equivalent
