About our Practice:
Easton Dermatology Associates is a state-of-the-art medical and cosmetic dermatology practice located in Easton, Maryland. Led by board certified dermatologists Dr. Michael Del Torto and Dr. Donald Stranahan, Jr., the team at Easton Dermatology Associates specializes in diagnosing skin disorders and providing cutting edge dermatological and cosmetic treatment.
Dr. Del Torto and Dr. Stranahan have assembled a first-rate staff of dermatologists, certified physician assistants, and medical and surgical assistants, all of whom strive to deliver the best possible care to their patients. This ranges from helping to improve chronic skin conditions like acne, to developing customized skin rejuvenation programs and skillfully treating skin cancer with the specialized Mohs surgery.
Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing clinical support to the physicians and patients. This person works to prepare the patient prior to the provider conducting the visit. The medical assistant performs all functions related to the clinical aspect of the patient’s care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- 1-3 years’ experience as a medical assistant
- Experience using electronic medical record systems
- Competent in effectively communicating health information
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Room patients and collect necessary clinical data the provider needs for the visit
- Verify patient identity and clearly indicate the purpose of the exam or procedure
- Collect vital signs from the patients
- Assist the provider during patient exams when needed
- Input patient data into the electronic medical record system
- Regularly check the MA mailbox for voicemails from patients or other healthcare providers
- Fulfill incoming requests from patients for medication refills
- Ensure exam rooms are properly stocked with clinical inventory
- Devise a list of inventory that is needed and submit to appropriate staff member for re-order
- Keep clinical areas in a manner that is clean and organized
- Participate in staff meetings and trainings
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward staff and patients
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management
Job Type: Full-time
