As a WellNow Allergy Provider, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to improving the delivery of quality healthcare to our Allergy and Immunology patients, while being part of a medical community in which you are supported in your growth as a medical professional.
Responsibilities:
The Patient Care Technician must be knowledgeable in professional nursing principles and practices related to allergy/immunology treatment
Assists the practitioner with examinations, procedures, and other duties as assigned
Administration of medications
Collects and prepares specimens for laboratory as well as assists in the management of the results
Prepares exam rooms, including maintenance, sterilization of equipment, and stocking of supplies
Attends facility-required staff training and meetings
Registration duties: explain to patients what insurances that are accepted and those that are out of network as well knowledgeable of all pricing - Properly collect and record payments, complete registration screen in a timely manner
Reception will room the patient
Performs tasks to improve provider efficiency during the course of a shift
Greets and registers patients
Answers and appropriately triages phone calls
Takes payments for visits
Printing, scanning, and faxing reports
Other front desk and cleaning responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
One (1+) year of Allergy experience preferred
Prior experience in a busy medical office preferred
Strong critical thinking skills
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
Ability to perform all job duties with no accommodations, including lifting up to 50 pounds, repeatedly bend and twist, and stand for 10-12 hours per day
Education:
High School Diploma Required
Required License or Certification:
MA certification or similar preferred
