Medical Assistant/Vestibular Technician

The Concussion Center utilizes an interdisciplinary team to focus on each patient’s unique situation and medical background to ensure the right diagnostics and health and wellness treatment protocols are established at the start. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care/wellness management. Job Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
· Interviews patients and documents basic medical history.
· Takes vitals and documents findings in the patient chart.
· Prepares patients for procedures.
· Assists during medical examinations.
· Maintains appropriate lab logs.
Performs vestibular testing on patients.
· Prepares and cleans treatment rooms and medical instruments.
· Manages equipment and supply inventory.
· Serves as a liaison between physicians and other individuals such as patients.
· Copies and mails requests for medical records ensuring HIPAA compliance.
· Functions as a team member, including assuming various responsibilities within the organization such as insurance verifications and confirming patient appointments, etc.
· Future growth opportunities to expand into a leadership role.
Qualifications
· Medical Assistant Degree (Required).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
· Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
· Social perceptiveness and service-oriented.
· Must be highly motivated and self-driven.
· Punctual and self-disciplined.
· Strong organizational and planning skills.
· Previous experience with Waystar billing is a plus.
· Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
