Job Summary
Entry Level Position
Reviews, analyzes, and ensures the quality of data loaded into database systems. Provides production job support from a quality perspective. Must be able to understand business rules, work with varying data formats, and develop metrics and audit procedures to monitor data quality. Understand, query and manipulate varying data and file formats. Identify, compare, and resolve data quality problems. Evaluate business impact of specific data quality issues. Measure and audit large volumes of varying data for quality issues. Works with multiple groups, including overseas groups, to resolve issues.
Essential Functions
Utilize tools to analyze, query and manipulate data according to defined business rules and procedures.
Follow defined audit procedures, and produce required metrics according to defined procedures.
Corrects minor data quality errors.
Work with programmers or manually updates systems to resolve data problems.
May update/maintain database with reviewed and corrected data.
Provides training to other Quality Operations Reps.
Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
Knowledge of required tools to query and manipulate data in varying file formats.
Knowledge of all types of data formats and file structures.
Ability to follow and develop data quality standards, metrics and audit procedures.
Conveys technical issues/problems to programmers in a clear/concise manner. Must be familiar with basic data/programming terminology to communicate as much of problem and solution as possible.
Typical Education
High School diploma or equivalent. AA/BS preferred.
Typical Range of Experience
Typically has 2- 5 years of directly related experience.
Pay Range: $31,500 - $54,900
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
