Job Description
We are looking for a professional food and beverage manager to be responsible for managing all food and beverage operations and for delivering an excellent guest experience. The successful candidate will be able to forecast, plan and manage all food and beverage orders, staff and finance. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement. The Landing Hotel has two very busy restaurants (The Landing Restaurant and Jeremiah's Pub). The applicant must be living in Alaska within a 300 mile radius and willing to relocate to Ketchikan.

Responsibilities
- Suggests tactics to increase business volumes.
- Plan promotional events to increase business.
- Train staff to sell and up-sell products to increase their ticket averages.
- Assist staff during the peak hours of business (busing tables, making drinks, greeting guest, taking orders, expediting food, etc.) Also present during shift changes to ensure smooth transitions.
- Ensures all staff members have the proper certification for the job (food handlers and Tap permits)
- Performs breakage daily, rotates beers, keeps par level current and does keg returns
- Completes liquor orders. Does monthly liquor inventory.
- Brings equipment needs to the AGM or GM
Skills
- Proven food and beverage management experience
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Mastery in delegating multiple tasks
- Communication and leadership skills. Lead by example in appearance, attitude, and customer care
- Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
- Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
- 100 % Guest-oriented and service-minded
- Knowledge of bar and bartending Experience
- Must know sequence of service, ability to train staff to perfection, lead by example
- Not afraid to clean
- High energy, healthy with a continuous smile and attitude is foremost
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39,520.00 - $45,761.70 per year
