WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE
DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a full-time Training Manager to join our distribution center team in Atlanta, GA. The DC Training Manager will be responsible for owning and driving training across the entire building on our daylight shift!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
Identify and ensure the delivery of all teammate training needs for their respective distribution center and monitor training opportunities that may arise through our changing business.
Develop cross-functional relationships with the corporate training team, operational functions within the distribution center as well as the distribution senior leadership team.
Oversee all training in the building, including operational, safety, leadership skills, compliance, developmental, and special initiatives, and works in conjunction with business leaders across all disciplines to manage the delivery of training programs.
Leads and leverage the training team to deliver outstanding onboarding and ongoing development of teammates and positively impact retention. This is a highly visible and strategic training role within our DCs.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
5-7 Years DC Ops Supervisory and/or Training Lead experience highly preferred
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong facilitation & presentation skills
Supervisory and leadership capabilities
Problem solving & troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
High interpersonal skills, including ability to interact with senior leadership and teammates at all levels (both at DC and corporate office)
This is an evolving role that will also take a key leadership position in executing the DC Elevation journey at the incumbent’s respective DC. The ability to pivot work direction quickly, adapt to a changing business environment, and coach for early adoption among leaders (incumbent included) will be critical success factors for this role. Additionally, the ability to help foster a teammate-centric work environment is a key skill set for this role to ensure that the business has engaged teammates through a positive labor relations environment.
