Job Description
Collegial trusts & estates team at Wolcott Rivers Gates is seeking a bright, motivated individual to support its attorneys and staff. Responsibilities involve data entry, use of accounting software (training provided), management and tracking of special projects, and general support of the team’s attorneys and staff. Aptitude for numbers and Excel experience are preferred; attention to detail is a must. Excellent opportunity for entry into a law firm with potential for advancement.
What does someone in this role do?
- They work in a team environment with the trusts & estates attorneys, paralegals, administrative staff, courts, clients, and other parties through various forms of communication.
- They are tech-savvy and assist with basic computing and navigation of legal software and systems.
- They are driven to explore new methods and leverage technology to streamline and create efficiencies for themselves and their team.
- They fulfill administrative tasks and clerical duties necessary to facilitate and streamline the flow of information and keep their team well-organized, prepared, and ahead of all deadlines. Examples of tasks include copying, scanning, filing, answering phone calls, data entry, etc.
- Some of the duties they assist with include: maintaining and updating files (electronic and/or hardcopy), data, documents, and other records within the firm’s case management and trust accounting software; organizing and prioritizing deadline-driven tasks and projects and coordinating with paralegals and attorneys to ensure completion; undertaking and managing special projects; and other tasks assigned to them.

You previously worked at a law firm and know that a career in the legal field is perfect for you, or you might not have any experience at a law firm, but you are eager to learn and grow professionally within a law firm.
Qualified candidates should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook. Must be able to maintain a minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute. Training will be provided on the firm’s technology platforms.

Pay Range: $15.00 per hour and up. Commensurate with experience.
