Job Description
We are currently seeking a Travel Medical Assistant to join our team. This is an opportunity within healthcare to learn about multiple specialties. Experience in Orthopedics with assisting in injections, orthopedic surgery, sports medicine injuries and interventional spine treatments is highly preferred but not required. Bilingual preferred.
We are a high-volume clinic with multiple locations and Physicians across The United States, so willingness to travel is a must. We expect for our Medical Assistant to travel as needed, could vary 75-100%. When not traveling, the Travel MA home base will be in one of our metro Atlanta clinics. Mileage reimbursement is provided with travel. Flight and hotel provided if traveling outside of our Georgia clinics.
Personal qualities for this position should include rapid learner who is adaptable with ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, flexibility with learning multiple doctors work ethics, and must be driven and ready for challenge when it calls.
Job Summary
Assists in examinations and treatment of patient's care under the direction of the physician and/or clinician. Supports patient care management by performing various administrative functions.
Duties include:
Triage patients/ initial vitals
Pre-screening, notating Patient's information and rooming the Patient for your Physician
Communicates all significant changes in patient conditions or behavior to clinicians and physicians
Ensures all medical record/patient charts contains necessary documentation for medical appointments
Completes charting, collects, and distributes medical record documents related to patient
Assist with Pain Injections and in office procedures as needed
Assist with DME both in clinic and instruct patients on at home use of DME
Dispense patient medication in-house and instruct patients on at home use
Assign corresponding CPT codes per billing regulations
Operates and maintains equipment in proper working condition/order
Ensures medical supplies and inventory are maintained
Checking patients in/out, scheduling appointments for all physicians, entering insurance information and confirming appointments as needed
