ABOUT AMIGOS FOR KIDS:
Founded in 1991, Amigos For Kids is a Miami-based nonprofit dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect by valuing children, strengthening families, and educating communities. Amigos For Kids moves its mission forward through its education, awareness, and advocacy programs aimed at helping families in under-resourced communities thrive.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Records Management Supervisor, the Data Entry Specialist is responsible for entering program participant data in the organization’s data management systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Enters program participant information into the data management system
Name and address
Email and any other contact information
Case notes
Case dates
Updates data entries when a change occurs
Cross references information across databases
Communicates any errors to designated staff
Scans and uploads documents as needed
Utilizes Casebook, Trust Central or other platforms
Understands and utilizes other data programs as needed
Uses Zoom or other virtual meeting platforms to meet with supervisor and other team members
Appropriately handles confidentiality of records
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Transport independently between work and home
Ability to work remotely
Access to a computer and the internet
Detail oriented
Organizational Skills
Basic copier/scanner operation and maintenance skills
Filing skills
Computer skills (locate, scan, label and file electronically, Excel and database knowledge)
