Job Description
Overview:
Viking Utility Inc. is an electrical contractor with a specialized concentration in underground electrical utilities. Viking provides a range of benefits to its customers by being licensed and certified in areas to manage solutions from installation of conduit to high voltage segments.

Viking Utility Inc. is currently looking to fill a position for a Data Entry Clerk. Experience in the construction industry is a PLUS.
Responsibilities:
Match purchase orders confirming prices and quantity to vendors’ invoices.
Verify receipt of material or services/confirmation of receipt of material or services
Check accuracy of employee reimbursement expenses before processing
Enter invoices in accounting system for payments ensuring correct approval, coding, and matching.
Coordinate with vendors regarding invoicing and payment inquiries and discrepancies.
Respond to vendors inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Update databases to reflect closed sales.
Communicate with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
Adhere to and consistently defer to company policy on contract compliance.
Contribute to team by assisting with other projects as needed.
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who is capable of handling sensitive and confidential information and conducting himself/herself with a professional attitude.
Applicant must have the ability to work well, both independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment handling high volume of work while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Must be able to type at least 45 wpm.
Must have experience working with MS Office and Excel.

Work in a thoughtful and thorough manner.
Members of the accounting department must possess strong computational and analytical skills.
Other necessary qualities include strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time well, the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, a problem-solving attitude, and the willingness to take initiative and exhibit resourcefulness.
This position is full time. It will require shadowing of several roles within the department to assist or fill-in on an as needed basis. Please respond with your resume for consideration.
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED (preferred),
At least two (2) years of relative experience
Pre-employment criminal background and drug screen required
