Job Description
Certified Medical Assistant:
G.I. Alliance of Illinois/Lake Shore Gastroenterology, is seeking a full-time highly motivated Certified Medical Assistant, to work at our north pod which includes Gurnee, Highland Park, Libertyville, and Lindenhurst locations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to; charting intake information into our EHR, ensuring efficient flow of patients through the office, assisting with prior authorizations & medication refills, and answering clinically related phone calls. We seek a candidate who likes variety and is comfortable either in clinic working with patients or behind the scenes and who represents the practice with a warm, caring demeanor toward patients and visitors. May be cross trained for greeting and registering patients - checking patients in/out, electronic chart scanning/indexing/documenting, scheduling office appointments and procedures.
Qualifications include: Candidates should be certified; have two years’ experience; excellent communication skills; ability to multi-task; & strong time-management skills. Candidate should be detail oriented with strong EHR skills(gGastro preferred). Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Hours: Monday – Friday (no weekends/no evenings)
