Job Description
Summary
The Clinical Operations Manager provides administrative oversight in the development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of clinic operations by accepted practice and medical center policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provides direction and management in clinical operations, working in close collaboration with the center operations team.
2. Responsible for the efficient running of the daily operations of the clinical areas and assures proper staffing levels and efficient workflow systems.
3. Responsible for clinical personnel, including interviewing applicants for vacancies, hiring, conducting performance appraisals and disciplinary counseling sessions.
4. Leads initiatives to improve clinical practices and processes to ensure smooth daily operations, identifies improvement opportunities and actively seeks problem resolution.
5. Coordinates with management and medical teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that provide high quality health care services.
6. Participates in developing the clinical strategy, trial design, and protocols.
7. Plans, evaluates, recommends and implements new initiatives when appropriate.
8. Provides training and mentorship as required to clinical operations staff.
9. Provides clinical operations support for regulatory inspections.
10. Addresses patient grievances and behavioral issues, and develops corrective action plans as necessary.
11. Visits medical centers at least once per quarter, with one huddle per month. The huddle needs to encompass a discussion about patient satisfaction survey results, audit scores, policy reviews, and concerns from clinic staff.
12. Manages staffing for call outs and allocates resources as necessary.
13. Ensures all clinical licenses are up to date.
14. Monitors compliance with legal guidelines, internal policies and quality standards.
15. Assists in the coordination and tracking of clinical supplies.
16. Stays updated on current practices and telehealth rules/regulations.
17. Performs job duties ethically and professionally.
18. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
BS/BA degree or equivalent and at least three years’ experience in clinical
2. 5+ years of patient care experience
3. 3+ years of clinical management operations experience.
4. 1+ years of collaborating with advanced practice providers.
5. Knowledge of regulatory agencies, including FDA, OSHA, State licensing boards, etc., preferred.
6. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of MS project and SharePoint preferred.
7. Previous clinical monitoring experience.
8. Medical writing experience or training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
