Job Description
We currently have an immediate opening for an A/R Coating Machine Operator at our fast-paced Optical Service Center located in Brooklyn Park. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team!
Minimum Starting Wage: $22.40 per hour which includes the $2.00 Shift Differential
$1000 Hiring Bonus:
A $500 Bonus will be paid to you after 6 months of employment and an additional $500 Bonus will be paid to you after 9 months of employment (if continued employment in the evening, night, or weekend shift).
Job Summary
Work Hours: 3rd SHIFT Tuesday - Saturday 12:00 am to 8:00 am (Hours subject to change)
Primary responsibility of this position is the daily operation and maintenance of the Anti-Reflective Coating machines. This process applies anti-reflective coating to prescription lenses. The Walman team provides full training so that each employee is comfortable with safe operation of the equipment and process of completing quality eyewear and ability to meet production goals.
Duties
Operate Anti-Reflective Coating machines.
Daily and weekly maintenance of equipment involved in the A/R coating process.
Troubleshoot and call for technical support on all equipment involved.
Final inspect lenses, ensure coating meets desired specification.
Sandblast parts as needed.
Ability to perform all other aspects of the A/R coating process.
Experience/Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or equivalent
Prior optical experience preferred
Must be highly detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work with other employees as a team
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds above head
Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision
