Position Description
Title: Manager, Maintenance
Department: Maintenance
FLSA: Exempt
Overview:
The primary purpose of this position is drive and support the company's Maintenance system through the effective management of projects, preventative and predictive maintenance of all production systems, plant equipment, facility and contractors. This role directly drives and supports the safety, quality, and productivity goals established.
Duties include: Schedule, plan and forecast resources and activities of maintenance staff, activities, and projects. Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems. Accountable for facility maintenance including grounds. This position is responsible for a 1st, 2nd, and 3rdshift maintenance crew and supports a multiple shift production schedule.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Schedule, plan and forecast resources and activities of maintenance staff and projects
- Be the Company coordinator and facilitator of semiannual, week long, shutdowns(July/December)
- Develop and maintain department budget
- Review machinery history for trends and preventive maintenance requirements
- Determine which tasks are completed by contractors or completed in house
- Assess departmental training requirements, coordinate training schedule and ensure completion
- Provide Production with timely and effective information of important issues regarding mechanical and electrical systems
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree preferred, 5+ years practical experience will be substituted for education
- 5~10 years managerial experience, plus if in foundry environment
- Prior experience working with Kaizen or Continuous Improvement work teams
- Lean principles background is a plus
- Build employee effectiveness
- Foster open communication and champion change
- Be responsible for managing day-to-day operations
- Strong computer skills that include Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Working Conditions:
Work area is normally heat/ air-conditioned in an office-type environment, with a significant amount of time spent on the shop floor. Hard-hat, safety glasses, earplugs, steel-toed boots are required on production floor.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
