Job Description
Brighton Foot and Ankle is an independent office providing foot and ankle care to the Brighton, Howell, Hartland, South Lyon and surrounding communities. This is a one physician office with a board-certified physician providing personalized treatments to restore pain-free function of the foot and ankle. We focus on providing the best patient care with attention to satisfaction and pathology needs. To provide the best possible care, the best possible work place environment is essential. Full-time job with exceptional growth opportunity and competitive pay. This position is available between 30-40 hours a week with hours Monday through Friday. There is no weekend or holiday office hours. A medical assistant is needed to help support a busy, growing, independent medical office. Job duties will be focused on overseeing the patient throughout their entire office visit offering a personalized patient experience. This includes preparing the patient room, greeting the patient, obtaining medical history, assisting the doctor, scribing, preforming basic procedures, and scheduling future patient appointments. A team first candidate with the ability to use an electronic health record, Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, and a desire to learn is needed. Responsibilities
· Interview patients and document medical history
· Update electronic medical records
· Obtain basic blood work and laboratory samples
· Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
· Assist during medical examinations and procedures
· Independently complete basic medical procedures
· Document patient encounters and build medical notes
· Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
· Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients
Skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to operate in a team setting
· Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
· Basic understanding of patient care and medical terminology
· Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
· Ability to cross train and learn additional tasks within the office workflow

Qualifications

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
