About the Role:
We are looking for a qualified Procurement Associate Manager to be responsible for efficient procurement and manufacturing planning to maximize supplier service level performance and on-time delivery of inventory. This role will manage production schedules and orders, communicate priorities with global supplier network, and maintain accurate system information. This role requires a close partnership with several cross functional departments as it pertains to raw materials, packaging, and finished good production. The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations.
Maintain and grow vendor relations with contract manufacturers and suppliers through streamlined communication and performance monitoring
Manage and optimize production plans and coordination of materials across multiple manufacturing sites
Create and issue all purchase and work orders, while analyzing forecasts to ensure raw materials and finished goods are managed efficiently with minimal excess inventory
Utilize problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve production issues and escalate unresolved issues to management promptly
Ensure data accuracy in ERP related to item master and bills of materials including change management and SKU lifecycle
Analyze Month End Inventory reports at component warehouses and contract manufacturers and investigate discrepancies beyond tolerances
Partner with Inventory Management on forecast changes and supply risks
Coordinate shipment planning schedules with Logistics team.
About You:
Bachelor's degree or minimum 5+ years' progressive experience within procurement, production planning and/or supply chain; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong knowledge of managing raw materials and contract manufacturing across a global network
Experience leveraging a MRP tool is desired
Experience managing external partners with day-to-day priorities and assisting to resolve problems
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams efficiently and effectively to meet tasks and deadlines
Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Demonstrates proactive problem-solving and decision-making
Detail-oriented with strong follow through skills - able to organize and prioritize multiple projects
Strong organizational skills
Must have strong computer skills, including Excel, and other Microsoft Office products
Experience in NetSuite is a plus
