General Description: Responsible for analyzing information and creating financial and marketing deliverables for the ancillary coverages of smaller clients with less complex benefit programs. Focus is on dental, vision, life AD&D, disability, and worksite.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ancillary financial analytics for clients that are primarily under 300 lives.
- Prepare standard analyses with minimal customization. Analyses may include:
Rate and contribution analysis
- Financial, contractual, and rate comparisons and analysis.
- Analyze claims experience data. With guidance identify financial performance conclusions.
- Help drive USI’s panel carrier strategy and process.
- Manage RFP workload for less complex clients. Support senior team members.
- Serve as primary contact with insurance carriers on new business quotes and renewals. Includes requesting quote and evaluating options.
- With assistance develop strategic plans and solutions for less complex clients.
- With assistance, negotiate market results with carriers.
- With assistance develop alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost reduction opportunities.
- Perform technical analysis of group insurance contracts and financial arrangements.
- Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships.
- Participate in the peer review process, primarily as the reviewed party.
- Keep current on industry information, technology, and trends.
- 6 months + experience in Employee Benefits related field preferred.
- High School Graduate. College degree preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, team environment with some instruction.
- Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a Life & Disability insurance license within the first six months of employment.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
