A local family care practice that offers urgent care is seeking a Front Desk Associate to join its growing team. As the Front Desk Associate, you will work alongside some of the best providers and management teams in the Castle Rock, CO area.
As the Front Desk Associate, your duties will include:
Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk.
Register new patients, collect necessary personal and insurance information, and update existing patient records accurately in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for services rendered.
Schedule patient appointments, ensuring optimal utilization of clinic resources and efficient patient flow.
Answer incoming phone calls, address inquiries, and provide information regarding clinic services, operating hours, and general medical inquiries.
Manage patient queues, ensuring patients are attended to promptly and maintaining a smooth flow of operations.
Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances from patients, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.
Coordinate with medical staff and clinical teams to ensure timely patient triage, directing patients to appropriate healthcare professionals based on their condition.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, including managing patient forms, brochures, and informational materials.
Collaborate with medical billing personnel to resolve any billing-related issues and assist in the accurate coding of medical procedures.
Handle patient concerns and complaints with empathy, escalating complex issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and supply inventory management as needed.
Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality guidelines (HIPAA).

Requirements:
Medical Assistant Diploma, Certification, or Registration
