Become a part of our hard working, successful team in our Otay location! We are a well-established local trucking company looking for a Data Entry Clerk who has experience with bonded freight and is familiar with Customs regulations.
Job Summary:
The Data Entry clerk ensures the accurate and efficient transfer of data to and from multiple sources and systems to streamline the completion of services. This role is responsible for updating the system with service requests and requirements. This role also makes sure that we receive the necessary information needed to perform the requested services. This position requires great attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skill. The purpose of the Data Entry clerk is to make sure all data received and entered is accurate to avoid any discrepancies that could negatively impact customer satisfaction.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of information before it is entered into the system
Prepare and maintain In-Bond paperwork
Verify consistency of information across different platforms
Identify and correct data entry errors and report them to supervisors
Make notes on individual shipments regarding specific instructions or rates
Maintain records of data in appropriate locations
Print, scan and make copies of documents
Sort necessary shipment paperwork into folders corresponding to their service date
Respond to customer emails
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Starting At: $20-$24/ hour, depending on experience

Understanding of Import/Export logistics preferred

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
