Job Description
Title: Patient Care Coordinator
Reporting To: Office Manager
A Patient Care Coordinator is a vital professional in the day-to-day operations of the dental office. Being the initial contact and first impression for our patients, they are expected to provide stellar service and a welcoming environment. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the liaison for patients, Dentists, Office Managers and office staff. The candidate must have the ability to work on multiple tasks in parallel and have a broad understanding of insurance and a high dental IQ. This person will also need to be a self motivated, high energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance driven and patient focused environment. Excellent communication skills paired with resourcefulness and a strong work ethic are essential to this role.
Hours:
- Monday : 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Tuesday: 7:00 AM- 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:00 AM- 5:00 PM
- Thursday : 7:00 AM- 7:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Sat/ Sund: CLOSED
Primary Role and Responsibilities Include:
- Provide an excellent level of service to our patients and providers, aligning with our core values
- Greet and check in patients in a polite, professional manner.
- Gather/update demographic and insurance information for patients to ensure its is accurately reflected in our PMS
- Accurately schedule appointments utilizing templates to meet the daily and monthly practice goals
- Ensure a smooth checkout process that includes collecting at time of service, allocating payment appropriately, sending insurance claims and scheduling next visit(s)
- Utilize NexHealth to fill schedules via a short list and make outbound calls utilizing the outstanding treatment list
- Provide accurate and timely treatment plans to support same day conversion and prompt scheduling of patients
- Confirm appointments following the appropriate schedule
- Respond to all NexHealth two way patient communication promptly throughout the day and utilize the system to confirm online bookings in real time
- Verify Insurance as needed
- Open mail, scan checks and forward correspondence to the appropriate departments
- Balance deposits at the end of each night and sharing the EOD report to the finance team
- Additional duties as assigned by the Office Manager
Minimum of 1 2 years dental experience preferred
Knowledge of Dental Practice Management Software, Dentrix is a plus
