Position: Monitoring Technician

THE OPPORTUNITY
As a fast-growing healthcare-technology organization; we are seeking an experienced Certified Cardiac Monitoring or EKG Technician to assume the role of the Monitoring Technician. This position serves as a client facing role that has front- line patient engagement and outreach initiatives within the Ceras Health customer population. The Monitoring Technician will work in close collaboration with the Patient Care Network Center, customer support teams and various customers mix nationwide.
This is a valuable role and requires exceptional customer service for patients enrolled in Ceras Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and Digital Transitions of Care (DTCM)programs. This person will help to develop and implement services and resources aimed at promoting compliance and facilitating engagement of diverse patient populations. The position serves as a subject matter expert regarding best practices for patient-centered relationships and for engaging patients and clinical communities in using healthcare technology. The Monitoring Technician is responsible for providing highly professional, courteous, and empathetic customer service and effortless engagement to our patients. Ability to identify and analyze data for interpretation of healthcare needs for process support and platform needs, summarize and report findings is a must. The Monitoring Technician will be responsible for providing continuous observation of monitoring dashboard, severity alerts and/or activity and biometric behaviors for assigned patients.

You will spend your day working closely with the customer care team and with the Intake coordinator teams assigned to various providers.
Demonstrated comfort and success working with diverse patient communities and technology is strongly preferred. Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner. High level of motivation and vision in addressing engagement, outreach, and training needs for patients. Experience developing and implementing engagement and outreach strategies and trainings for patients. Excellent organizational, communication, and task management skills
JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide assistance to patients enrolled into Ceras Platform for Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and (DTCM) Digital Transitions of Care services.
Must have a working knowledge of basic rhythms and arrhythmias.
Maintains patient record according to Ceras policy.
Prompt notifications to appropriate personnel of significant changes in readings.
Communicates effectively with staff, managers, ancillary departments, and other customers.
Clearly and articulately explain device troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical concerns for patients/families and or caregivers.
Successfully review pertinent biometric data and document trends and resolutions in Ceras platform.
Become subject matter expert for Remote Patient Care monitoring and Digital Transitions of Care coordination activities as it pertains directly to services.
Strong ability to exercise initiative, judgment, organization, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Capable of organizing work to achieve daily/weekly/monthly goals and objectives.
Accurately and concisely document all customer interactions and calls into the Ceras Health system while maintaining compliance to HIPAA and other regulating bodies as required.
Encourage customer compliance with product utilization.
Provide frequent feedback and suggestions to support an environment of continuous process improvement.
Meet or exceed key performance indicators: monthly quota for completion of 100% of Remote Patient Monitoring and data collection.
Ongoing education, increase knowledge of Ceras Health portfolio of products, participate in all Ceras offered internal/external training programs.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE
Certification for Medical Assistance or Licensed Nurse (Required).
3 years minimum requirement in a fast-paced health care, health plan or health practice environment.
2-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Chronic Care Management or Remote Patient Monitoring experience (Preferred) .
EKG Certification (Preferred).
Cardiac monitoring Certification (preferred).
Telemetry Experience (Required).
Knowledge of CMS guidelines for CCM/RPM services and reimbursements.
Ability to clinically assess, plan, and advocate for the patient’s health needs.
Must be efficient with navigating various EMR systems.
Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and use proper grammar.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be able to work either independently or in a team orientated environment.
Ability to document calls and interaction by typing on a keyboard while speaking to a customer on the phone.
Take responsibility and is accountable to own actions.
Proven experience using a computer and, multiple software programs, and the ability to navigate through multiple screens and programs at the same time. Must be proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Cardiac Monitor Technicians work all three shifts, weekends, and holidays. Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your specific Nurse Manager/Practice Manager. Schedules, including requirements of shift rotations and hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet staffing requirements or as is in the best interest of the work unit.
