Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead a dynamic team of data developers to produce innovative solutions using applications and tools such as MS Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, PowerBI, and other data-centric tools. The purpose of this position is to provide leadership in the development and maintenance of data solutions to SMS business unit, affiliates, and partners. The individual chosen to fill this position must be able to provide collaboration, leadership and direction on various projects, lead teammates in personal and professional development, and provide development and production support as needed. The individual will exemplify an agile approach in a dynamic development environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Leading a team of data professionals in the development, modifying, and supporting new and existing data integration processes.
- Exhibit leadership skills, including self-confidence, motivation, self-discipline, willingness, and professional poise.
- Being accountable for the data integration processes and repositories, delivered and managed by the team. Accountable for the outcomes of the work performed by the Team.
- Accountable for performance, accuracy and reliability of the technical processes supported by the team.
- Timely reaction/resolution to identified issues.
- Develop action plans to solve business and technical problems. Drive execution of them.
- Work prioritization for the team
- Leading the data team to continuously improve processes and development practices.
- Working with Leadership and PMO to plan resourcing needs and timelines.
- Being accountable for the data integration processes and repositories, delivered and managed by the team. Accountable for the outcomes of the work performed by the Team.
- Accountable to the morale of any reporting Teammates

Skills/Abilities/Experience & Qualifications:
- Education, Training and Experience: bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, or equivalent, with 7+ years of IT experience and 3-4 years management experience in a highly dynamic business environment, that is fast paced and growing.
- Knowledge, Abilities & Skills: Relational database concepts, modern data warehousing concepts, Cloud Data Integration concepts, Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Synapse
- Health care industry expertise. Knowledge of Healthcare Claims & Eligibility data will be a plus.
- Experience SSAS, Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and higher, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Cozy Roc SSIS+, or Redgate tools is a plus.
- Experience designing and implementing modern data ingest architectures and repositories.
- Experience designing and implementing complex pipeline processes.
- Experience maturing and implementing best practices within Data development, including SDLC, Version control, CI/CD, DevOps
- Ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical individuals.
- Work independently, including making informed suggestions/decisions based on established policies, procedures, and business plan.
- Provide effective, timely, and consistent recognition and feedback to Teammates; deal firmly and promptly with performance problems.
- Effectively provide instruction to others; promote a comprehensive understanding of overall objective(s); share knowledge openly.
