About Edify Behavioral
Edify Behavioral Management is a community-based mental health agency offering targeted case management, psychosocial rehabilitation, education, and support services to Members enrolled in Medicaid Managed Care Organizations who suffer from chronic and persistent illnesses and comorbidities, including substance abuse disorders and various medical condition. Job Summary We are seeking a Medical Coder/Data Entry Executive to join our team. In this role, you will oversee patient records and process claims for reimbursements. You will be responsible for selecting the correct codes and functions to be assigned to each instance. You will also be working closely with the Admissions Team and Clinical Director to ensure all Assessment data is The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong people skills and computer skills.
Responsibilities
Research and analyze data needs for reimbursement
Ensure codes are properly sequenced
Analyze, file, and process medical records
Keep detailed documentation of any deficiencies or issues with medical records
Provide education and training to therapeutic team concerning proper documentation and coding
Review and verify documentation alongside Clinical Supervisors
Verify accurate documentation by analyzing clinical notes and encounter logs for signatures
Input Assessment Data into Clinical Management of Behavioral Services Database to determine Member Level of Care
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent
PLUS: Bachelor Degree from an accredited university in the field of business, health care administration, or human sciences
Training in Medical Billing and Coding preferred
Previous experience as a Medical Coder or Data Entry Clerk in a behavioral health setting
Familiar with coding software and other computer programs
Familiarity with clearinghouses used for billing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and able to problem-solve
Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines
