Job Description
Job Summary:
The Data Entry Associate is responsible for processing and entering all customer data into respective software (NAV, Manitou, etc.), ensuring all data and reports are up-to-date and accurate. The Data Entry Associate must possess excellent organizational and customer service skills and maintain accuracy in their job completion. The Data Entry Associate must have a firm understanding of external and internal customer needs, Central Station Operators, and Technicians. May also be required to provide basic system training.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Show proficiency with ADS computer programs, databases, and applications (e.g., NAV, Manitou, Microsoft Office, remote desktop services, phone systems, tablets, etc.)
- Work with other departments to ensure the integrity of the data in monitoring software and efficient workflow between departments
- Build, maintain, and deactivate customer accounts in the monitoring software
- Complete cancellations of accounts in the monitoring software
- Perform final data review on installation jobs to ensure the Central Station has everything they need to correctly and successfully monitor new systems and customers
- Define and maintain data standards in the monitoring software with Central Station management approval
- Complete and respond to data changes via email, phone, and web submission
- Assist field technicians with data troubleshooting
- Communicate with customers by phone, email, or web submission to learn about and address their needs, complaints, or other issues with products or services
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customers, explaining possible solutions, and ensuring customers feel supported and valued
- Engage in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information, and diffusing angry customers, as needed
- Build lasting relationships with customers and other Data Entry team members based on trust and reliability
- Utilize software, databases, scripts, and tools appropriately
- Understand and strive to meet or exceed Data Entry metrics while providing excellent, consistent customer service
- Make sales or recommendations for products or services that better suit customer needs
- Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, record details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, and actions taken
- Take part in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of company and position
- Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation
- May be required to adjust schedule to ensure the department is covered during core business hours
- Must be punctual and adhere to attendance standards
- Responsible for onsite duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Previous data entry or call center experience is highly preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent listening skills and an empathetic voice and manner
- Excel and Word
- Excellent in written and verbal communication
- Must be able to use office equipment – telephone, fax machine, all printers
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to adapt to change
- Computer and typing skills

- Familiarity with the products and services offered by the company
Licenses/Certifications:
- Must obtain a Permanent Employee Registration Card from the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
- Maintain a driver's license, maintain an insurable driving record, and be capable of driving on company assignments
