Royal RV Center is urgently seeking a RV Sales Manager to become an integral part of their team.
Job Summary
Runs an efficient and profitable Service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of Service records. Ensures that the daily inventory of technician’s time is consistently sold to service customers.
Essential Service Duties: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them
Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all service department staff
Analyzes sales, expenses, and labor inventory monthly to maintain profit goals
Understand how lightspeed functions in all regards to service
Establish and maintain a RO scheduler
Coordinate a prompt, efficient, and timely flow of paperwork/work.
Maintains reporting systems required by management team and the factory
Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments
Develops and implements a marketing plan which promotes new and repeat business
Monitor and maintain Open Estimates and Repair Order to ensure that any aged RO or Estimates are dealt with properly
Monitor and Maintain Open Warranty Repairs Order to ensure we are getting paid promptly from the manufacturer
Maintains and Monitors warranty shortages
Monitors and controls the performance of the Service department using appropriated reports, system tracking
Ensure that all ROs have accurate customer information and customer unit information
Understand and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect the service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal
Establish and ensure our staffing utilizes a process for recommendations and declined work to properly have records for future ROs on this unit. This will also help to see if our staff is upselling.
Accounts for all documents, ensures that none are missing and all are processed correctly
Ensure customers are signing all appropriate documents and repair orders and establish a record keeping system.
Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty policy and procedure
Facilitates and/or conducts technical training and sends employees to appropriate training schools as needed
Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
Monitors and follows up on parts orders with the parts department to ensure availability
Monitors technicians daily productivity reports and corresponding clocked hours
Inform repair technicians of time allowances on each repair order
Maintains high quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
Keep up on new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases
Ensure that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean
Establish and maintain good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personal recruitment activities
Serves as liaison with factory representatives
Ensure proper care, storage and inventory of special tools
Ensures that customers’ service files are up to date and readily available for reference
Ensures that all customers are greeted promptly and given fair estimates on costs and time required for repairs and maintenance
Prepares pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labor operations
Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership’s guidelines
Establishes and maintains 48 hour follow up with all customers to confirm satisfaction with service experience
Establish and maintain an customer follow up chain for existing customers
Maintain safe work environment
Maintains a professional appearance
Attends managers meetings
Holds weekly department meetings-Alex will be present for these on Monday mornings
Establish and maintain a boiler plate on Repair orders
