Job Description
JOB TITLE: Nuclear Medicine Tech
DEPARTMENT: Imaging Services
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· must be able to prepare and inject radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging.
· Receives and records appropriate information regarding receipt of radioactive materials.
· Performs quality assurance procedures on all equipment.
· Process diagnostic images and prepares reports for Cardiologist.
Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of nuclear medicine technology.
Experience: Minimum of one year experience in nuclear medicine.
Certificate/License: Current registration for ARRT or NMTCB needed; current BLS certification and current ACLS preferred.
PAY RANGE: $38-58/hr to start (dependent upon experience and education)
