Job Overview::
This role is pivotal in delivering engaging learning experiences that not only resonate with staff but also drive substantial performance improvements. Responsible for delivery of innovative, efficient, and effective learning solutions utilizing the best techniques, technologies, and formats available. This role requires a systematic approach to implementing these solutions across the consortium will be vital in our pursuit of excellence.
Evaluation is key to continuous improvement, and this role will be tasked with assessing the quality and impact of our learning solutions. Insights will not only inform improvements to existing programs but will also help shape the direction of future initiatives.
Exemplary communication, presentation, and organizational skills are prerequisites for this role. This role requires interaction with various stakeholders, facilitating training programs, and juggling multiple projects, so the ability to communicate effectively and manage time will be critical.
This role is a cornerstone in our commitment to developing and retaining our high-performing staff, ensuring that SEARHC continues to provide the best healthcare to the communities of Southeast Alaska.
Responsibilities::
Primarily responsible for improving organizational performance by owning learning and development training products, solutions, programs, and driving SEARHC’s learning and development strategy forward.
Conduct analysis of performance gaps to identify high impact opportunities where in-person, blended, virtual, hybrid, or immersive training delivery will close performance gaps.
Partner, network, and build alliances as needed to ensure solutions succeed in delivering results.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions that engage learners and encourage the application of skills on-the-job.
Design and implement systematic communication campaigns that drive interest and participation in our training programs.
Maintain efficient and effective support systems that track and communicate timely, highly relevant information to learners.
Evaluate and continuously seek to optimize the impact of training interventions, using success metrics that go beyond traditional 'smile sheets' to measure real behavior change.
Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in performance-based training and development.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications::
Bachelor’s degree in workplace learning, organizational performance, business, human resources, or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
2+ years proven experience as a Training and Development Specialist or similar role
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Ability to utilize adult learning theory to design and develop learning solutions that improve on-the-job performance.
Exceptionally detail oriented. Project management skills with ability to meet timelines. Able to adjust to priority and scope changes as needed. Able to effectively utilize project management tools such as MS SharePoint lists, MS Planner, Monday, Smartsheet.
