COLON CLEANSE TECH - MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Full Time
Huron Gastro, P.C. is an adult medical gastroenterology practice specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of disorders that affect the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine (colon), rectum, liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas. Our practice includes 18 physicians who are board-certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, 7 Advance Practice Providers, and an outstanding staff of clinical and administrative personnel.

Education
- High school diploma
- Medical Assistant or EMT Certification preferred
Certifications
- CPR or BLS Certified
Experience
- 2-3 years of direct patient care experience required
- Previous GI or endoscopy experience preferred but not required
- Experience navigating through an EHR/EPM system helpful
Responsible for:
- Clinic equipment, regulations and procedures to administer safe patient care
- Maintenance and disinfection of cleansing system
- Perform colon irrigation procedures according to established standards
- Keep accurate documentation of patient procedures
- Patient interaction and communication
- Adherence to proper infection control measures
- Phone consults with potential patients, explain colon irrigation process
- Set-up and maintenance of equipment
