The Center for Women and Families – Development Manager
Together, disrupting the cycle of intimate partner and sexual violence is our mission. Do you want to join us in making a difference in the lives of people surviving power-based violence? The Center for Women and Families is looking for warm, caring, empathetic individuals driven by a desire to help others! The Development Manager will help to move toward our vision of thriving survivors in safe communities.
The Center for Women and Families provides free services to people of all identities who have experienced intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We help our clients and their dependent children become survivors through trauma-informed advocacy. Our goal is to mitigate the impact of trauma by reducing their risk factors and building their resiliency. We serve anyone in Jefferson, Bullitt, Spencer, Shelby, Oldham, Henry and Trimble counties in Kentucky and Floyd and Clark counties in Indiana.
The Development Manager is responsible for all providing support on all Development initiatives and activities in addition to carrying their own revenue generating projects for The Center’s fundraising plan in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. The Manager will work with the Vice President of Development and Communications, Director of Development and Director of Communications to develop and support annual fundraising plans to support the Center’s revenue growth.

Duties and Responsibilities
Promote events/activities to the business community to support The Center and provide support to those groups that want to host an event/provide information about The Center including presentations.
Develop plans to promote various events throughout the year like Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, International Denim Day and others that have an emphasis on corporate employee involvement.
Represent The Center and its programs in meetings, phone conversations and at events with individual and prospective donors.
Work with VP of Development and Director of Development in support of growing individual revenue.
Work with appropriate staff and volunteers to ensure that all aspects of a successful event are coordinated towards a common goal.
Develop and solicit sponsors for events as needed.
Provide support to those interested in planning 3rd party events.
Provide support to the Southern Indiana Partnership Council (SIPC) in planning, fundraising, and marketing of events like The Jeep event, Breakfast of Brilliance, and any other relevant initiatives.
Work with in-kind donors throughout the year to arrange delivery of accepted items.
Provide appropriate paperwork to the donor in recognition of their in-kind donation and for input into Raisers Edge.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a related field may be substituted for a degree.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Raiser’s Edge experience is preferred.
Fluency in languages other than English are a plus.
Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets The Center’s automobile insurance requirements.
The Center requires the basic round of COVID vaccinations and highly recommends boosters.
