We are seeking an ambitious, experienced HSE Expert for our manufacturing operations located in Cullman, Alabama.
Responsibilities
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
Coordinate Health, Safety and Environmental activities for Cullman
Help develop and/or revising policies, practices, safety standards including implementations of procedures and safe work practices
Comply with storm water permit, process water permit and air permit for both Cullman facilities
Implement and maintain the ISO14001 HSE Management System in both Cullman plants
Coordinate and document all required elements of QS9000. TS16949 and Certifications as they relate to HSE
Keep up with state and federal regulations as they relate to HSE
Interact with department managers/engineers and help with process changes effecting HSE
Update and coordinate the safety data sheet database and list for both plants
Coordinate with HSE vendors while constantly seeking to save money without loss of service/quality
Evaluate and modify facility evacuation plans as plant layouts change
Maintain and improve the contractor safety program
Investigate and follow-up on accident reports and ensure that corrective actions are taken
Initiate and follow-up on corrective actions from monthly inspections and accident reports
Reduce workers compensation premiums
Important Individual Tasks:
Lead audit teams in the annual ISO14001 and ISO 45001 internal audit
Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual EHS audits of both Cullman facilities
Coordinate the activities of an active HSE Team, including monthly meetings and audits
Facilitate an active HSE Cross Functional Team
Conduct annual training for RCRA, LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work and Arc Flash Training
HSE Orientation training for all new employees
Coordinate industrial hygiene testing
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience Required:
Bachelor of Science degree in EHS or similar field
Legal and regulatory compliance experience
Personal Characteristics:
Professional, organized, ability to speak in public, ability to communicate with and train all levels of organization
Computer skills to include Word, Excel and database manipulation
Must be available to travel to various REHAU locations
