Auto Driveaway and its affiliate is a leading national provider of professional vehicle relocation services. Auto Driveaway primarily serves large corporate fleets, fleet management companies, upfitters, dealerships and vehicle OEMs with fast, safe and reliable door-to-door driveaway service nationwide. J&J Driveaway primarily serves truck OEMs, dealerships and truck fleets, providing the transportation of medium and heavy duty assets and specialized equipment moved as single units or decked up to four at a time.
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Staff Accountant is responsible for various data entry, accounting duties and other tasks necessary to maintain accurate and detailed accounting records. This is a visible position within the organization and requires someone with curiosity, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
Role and Responsibilities
- Data entry into multiple systems
- General ledger maintenance
- Preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close
- Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required
- Work with other team members to efficiently carry out daily tasks
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field
- 0-2 years general ledger accounting experience (no more than 2-3 years experience)
- Customer service oriented
- Self-motivated with the ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage time and workload
- Quickly adapt to change and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- High attention to detail; able to methodically review the execution of procedures and identify issues
Proficient level of computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications, experience with Oracle NetSuite a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
