JOB SUMMARY
The ProviderContract Performance Manager will provide risk, performance, and assist Finance with payment oversight of provider contracts. Coordinate and administer the activities of contract performance and payment. Position requires the ability to work independently, and with minimal supervision. Support the overall Contract Performance infrastructure, including but not limited to tracking spending, monitoring contract costs and payment, contract performance, and fair market value data support. Support overall program initiatives such as the creation, management and reporting of performance education and training; running data reports to monitor the statistical performance of the contracts and the organization's compliance with key regulatory requirements; coordinate and maintain key software and information systems applications that support ongoing performance initiatives; support the Associate Vice President Provider Contracting and other Departmental Leaders in performance investigations including obtaining supporting data, regulatory reviews, running reports, etc.; conduct special projects on specific performance and/or special risk areas as they arise.
Coordinate system-wide Contract Performance support initiatives to ensure the effective operation of HonorHealth’s Provider contracts. This may include, but not be limited to, creation/revision of contracting related policies and procedures; supporting the Provider Contracting Team efforts and statistical analysis and data reports; assisting in the creation, monitoring and reporting of performance auditing and monitoring programs; creation/revision of performance education and training programs; ongoing reporting assistance with reported performance matters. Work collaboratively with Compliance and Finance. Manage contract compensation reports, Complete special projects as assigned by the Associate Vice President Provider Contracting to support certain key performance risks as they arise. This may include specialized education and training offerings, auditing and monitoring activities, research on creation of corrective action plans/processes, etc.
Operationalize provider contracts through tracking of contract performance, expense trends and responding to issues. Review all Performance Compensation arrangements for accuracy and completion and provide recommendation for payment and communications regarding payment changes to Finance and other departments. Lead and coordinate resolution of issues identified during payment reviews. Ensure two-way communication of key information and problem resolution with external and internal constituents, including but not limited to Physician Billing, Finance, Analytics, Legal, Quality, Service Lines, and hospital and corporate management. Manage and monitor administrative compensation database. Assist the System Director, Provider Contracting Operations with data reporting and analysis for fair market value assesesments.
Reconcile both obligations and expenses with accounting to assure accurate contract cost reporting. Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets to track and categorize all contract cost data. Assist with tracking and analyzing provider invoices; reviews for accuracy and makes recommendations for full or partial payment. Ensure obligations and expenditures are within amounts contracted and are for the purposes intended. Work with Finance to ensure that all appropriate Network approval and Network coordination are followed for payment of contracted performance obligations.
Participate actively in assigned committees and teams. Support the full provider contracting process undertaken by the department to support contracting operational needs. Assist in the annual compliance risk assessment process.
